The State of the Union – of Heaven and Earth

•February 7, 2008 • 4 Comments

This site is dedicated to Heaven made manifest here on Earth…”as above, so below.” The work of integral synergy and of the spiritual seeker is to unite the energies of heaven and earth. Where better to do it than here, on earth, in a body? And why not now? Let’s start by getting our definitions straight. First of all, heaven and earth are not opposites. That is not their relationship as I see it. Here’s another way to look at it – take the ever-popular two-sided coin. Heaven is the whole coin. It is all-inclusive unity. Oneness and wholeness are it’s domain. Earth is duality. It has sides and middles. It is dark and light and all the gradations in between. It’s a place where balance can be found and felt because there is the possibility of one-sidedness.

sunsetHeaven’s language is one of paradox. It defies human logic. It is both the void (darkness) which is the emptiness that holds all potential and it is the manifestation and fullness (light) of that infinite creative potential. One example of this paradox is that the highest, fastest vibration is complete stillness. In Zen training the concept of this divine paradox is encountered through the Koan. An unsolvable, yet fully solvable riddle. However, the solution does not come through the structure of human logic but through relaxing into a sort of spiritual insight. The linear channels of thought melt into a more fluid movement and the resolution to the impossible riddle can be seen.

2008: the Real Millennial Birthday

•January 19, 2008 • 2 Comments

Even though it’s been eight years since Y2K and the turning of the millennial page, 2008 ushers in the start of the very first cycle of what’s to come. In numerology evolution is organized around 9-stage cycles. When the year 2000 dawned, we were mid-stream in a cycle that began in the last millennium. Even though we had new hopes and dreams for our world’s future, we’ve been a little stuck in the mud as to bringing that vision into reality. We’ve had stalls and detours and circumstances that just clearly had to come to an end before anything truly new could fully take root. And now the soil can finally be prepared for planting. This year we will be clearing and grubbing the field, letting go of many old ways and limitations and finally planting the seeds of the future.

2008 is a 1-year in numerological terms, simply because the sum of the digits add up to 10 (2+0+0+8) and the sum of those digits (1 + 0) is 1. And this is the first 1-year we’ve seen this millennium. It’s the kind of fresh start we haven’t seen for a thousand years. And to start it all off, we get to elect a new U.S. president! A new year always brings new beginnings and a new shade of feeling to everything. But sometimes that vibrational shift is quite subtle. Well, there’s nothing subtle about this new year! The shift from 9 to 1 is always more dramatic and the fact that 2007 (a 9-year) was fundamentally tied to the past age and 2008 (a 1-year) is firmly rooted in the new age means that many people are experiencing much more significant shifts in there lives and in their psyches.

Integral Synergy: Merging the Old with the New. Welcome!

•January 17, 2008 • 1 Comment

I’m so glad you came! Wondering what Integral Synergy is? It’s a place where creator and created merge. It’s a place to celebrate creative union of opposites and the birth of a new humanity. It’s a philosophy. It’s a place to play with questions and answers about God, the Universe, and existence. Check out the “integral synergy” page to read more.

2008 marks the numerological birth of the new millennium (not 2000 as one would think). We will now have incredible support to bring more feminine wisdom into global and human affairs and merge it with all the important gifts the masculine creative energies bring to our collective structure. It’s an exciting and pivotal time! Like nothing we’ve seen in a thousand years, and more accurately, EVER! Our job is to integrate the new focus with the old to increase the sustainability of the planet and it’s inhabitants. And to accept more joy into our lives as we do it. Suffering is optional, not mandatory.
